Nissan Introduces the 2018 Nissan Kicks SUV
Nissan Kicks Makes Debut
It’s the time of year when all the new model years for vehicles start to make their way to the market. For the 2018 year, Nissan has officially announced a new crossover, the 2018 Nissan Kicks. This will be the first year that it will be available and it is the sixth vehicle to join the Nissan SUV and crossover lineup. It was recently revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show but is not set to be at dealerships until June 2018.
The senior vice president of sales & marketing and operations, Don Mohnke, spoke about the vehicle during the reveal by stating, “As the gateway to Nissan’s adventure-ready sport-utility portfolio – joining Rogue Sport, Rogue, Murano, Pathfinder and Armada – Kicks is designed to fit the needs of singles or couples looking for expressive styling, personal technology, smart functionality and advanced safety features at an affordable price starting well under $19,000.”
The new vehicle will feature some of the Nissan design signatures but will also have some unique design elements to help it stand out. It will feature a V-Motion grille, bold wheel arch fenders, and a floating roof. It will be available in seven different exterior colors and there will also be five two-tone color combinations available. It is a bold approach to exterior color. The color options along with the overall exterior design creates a head turning look that will fit in with the Nissan family but will also stand out as unique.
Innovative Interior Look
The interior will feature innovative technology and design as well. You may even describe the interior design as futuristic and ideal for people who love to have the latest technology right at their fingertips. Additionally, it will feature one of the largest load areas in the class today. With plenty of space as well as plenty of technology, it is the perfect combination for busy parents and the younger crowd. The technology included will be some of the standards that are expected today such as a full color display on the dash, an infotainment system, and even the new class-exclusive2 Bose® Personal® Plus sound system.

The standard engine for the 2018 Nissan Kicks is the 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder with Continuous Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS). It will also have a smooth and efficient transmission, the Xtronic, and it is expected to have competitive fuel economy with a prediction of 33 miles per gallon combined. Safety is also covered with standard offerings like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and RearView Monitor.
