Nissan Sponsors Blake Shelton’s 2017 Music Tour

Nissan recently announced that it has partnered with award-winning country music giant, Blake Shelton, to bring two winners together for fans to enjoy. Blake Shelton’s 2017 tour, “Doing It To Country Songs,” opened in Bakersfield, CA on February 16, with 2017 Nissan Titan and Titan XD full-size trucks flanking the outside of the tour venues. Blake Shelton is expected to headline 13 events across the country — as well as 14 festival appearances — with a tour finale scheduled in Colorado Springs, CO on September 16.

Nissan and Its Deep Connection to the United States

Nissan has long held a strong connection and deep roots to the United States. Over 30 years ago, it was the car maker’s pickup trucks that were the very first Nissan vehicle assembled in the United States — in Tennessee to be exact. The state is also the site of the plant with the largest auto assembly volume in North America — the Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant. Tennessee is also home to Nissan’s North American headquarters.

Tennessee is Where Nissan Calls Home

Tennessee is well known for being the center of country music. Ryman Auditorium is sponsored by the automaker and is known as the “Mother Church of Country Music.” In addition, the Tennessee Titans play all their NFL home games in Nissan Stadium. Nissan Titan and Titan XD trucks have proven to be the impetus that has fueled the manufacturer’s growth significantly in recent years.

Nissan and Blake Shelton: A Natural Partnership

As for Blake Shelton, he feels a special connection to Nissan because he father worked at car dealerships throughout his life. With tour dates that have the legendary country singer crisscrossing the country as he weaves his way to states like Florida, Wisconsin, Ohio and more, Blake Shelton is excited and proud to have the power, comfort and style of Nissan’s Titan and Titan XD standing beside him on his tour.

Partnership is Part of Nissan’s Marketing Strategy

The partnership with Blake Shelton is Nissan’s latest foray into marketing with some of today’s top brands. For example, its current campaign that ties in with the latest release in the Star Wars franchise has the automaker paired with Rouge One. It spawned a “Rouge One” package that can be purchased with the Nissan Rouge crossover. This popular model has boasted Nissan’s sales of the vehicle in December and January.

Nissan: Always Innovating

In addition to its innovative marketing campaigns, Nissan consistently proves that it’s not content to rest on its laurels. Instead, the automaker recently announced an additional option for its popular Titan and Titan XD trucks. Joining the currently available Single Cab and Crew Cab options, consumers will soon be able to purchase a King Cab Nissan Titan and Titan XD. With manufacturing and engineering teams from four states contributing to its development, these trucks will feature V8 engines that are assembled — where else? — in Tennessee, of course!
